External SEO

To Get links to your blog from other sites.

What is SEO?

SEO is the process of optimizing your site for the search engines to increase your traffic.

However, it is not enough to write a post, and it will appear at the top of the list.

It would help if you took various measures to benefit your readers.

You can read more about the basics of SEO in the following post!

What is Internal SEO?

Internal SEO is creating a blog title and content that is easy to read and understand.

For example, make your headings and titles easy to understand and use keywords in your posts to make it easier for readers to find the information they need.

We'll explain more about internal SEO in the second half of this post.

What is External SEO?

External SEO is the process of increasing links from external sites.

"As well as internal SEO, if you write helpful posts to users, you can also get links from other sites as reference posts.

If you are an intermediate blogger, you may have to make a sales pitch or create a valuable tool for your users to get links.

To get links from external sources, you will need to work hard.

How your blog is rated

The Reason why internal SEO is important

Internal SEO is essential for the reason "to satisfy search users."

Even if you've worked hard to write a blog, if readers find it difficult to read or can't find the information they want, they won't read your posts properly.

Many people think that SEO is done to improve search rankings, but the essence of SEO is to provide content that has value to the reader.

If you write posts that are easy to understand and practical, Google will appreciate it, and your search ranking will naturally rise.

"If many people recognize that your site is easy to understand, your blog will gain more fans and attract more visitors in the medium to long term!"

How your blog is rated

In this section, I will explain the Google search engine.

First of all, Google's search rankings are determined in the following order.

  • Crawling
  • Indexing of pages
  • Determination of search rankings

When you publish your blog on the Internet, it is visited by a robot developed by Google called a "crawler."

If the crawler reads the information correctly, it will be registered in the search engine database.

This is called "index."

Once a site has been indexed, it will be ranked according to the rules set by Google.

These rules are called the "algorithm."

Change regularly, so keep checking!

"Remember, if you create a blog with a structure that makes it easy for searchers to understand the information, it will be easier for search engines to evaluate the structure of your pages correctly."

A checklist of 14 things to do with your posts for internal SEO

Now, let's get down to the nitty-gritty: 14 things to do for internal SEO.

It's hard to do everything, so take one thing at a time and make sure you get it right!

1. Select the right keywords

Keywords should be chosen based on the number of monthly searches and their relevance to your blog post.

If you write about a keyword, not in demand, even if you produce an excellent post, it will not attract readers because no one is searching for that keyword.

You can find the search volume for a keyword using the "Google's Keyword Planner" tool.

Please refer to the following post to find out how to check the monthly search volume.

Point

You should aim for only one keyword per post.

If you desire to rank high for multiple keywords, your content will be diluted, and it will be difficult for searchers to understand.

2. Include keywords in the title properly

The title of your post should contain the keywords you want to rank for.

If you include the keywords that searchers are looking for, they will be more likely to find the information they are looking for.

For Google to read the information correctly, use the "h1 tag" in the title and keep the title to around 30 characters as too many characters are not good.

The following post also explains how to select keywords.

3. Include keywords in the headings properly

It's not just the title but also the headline containing the keywords you want to rank high.

Putting keywords in the headline helps Google recognize the post's content and helps the reader understand the structure.

However, overloading your headline with keywords can make it difficult for users to read, so don't overdo it and try as much as you can!

"The key is to make sure that the headline is not too long and that the reader can understand the content of the text at a glance!"

4. Include keywords in the text properly

Include your keywords in the body of the post.

A measure called "Keyword appearance rate" shows the percentage of keywords in a post, but there is no optimum figure.

Make sure your content is user-first and easy to read, and don't overload it with unnatural keywords.

Points

You can further increase the relevance of your keywords and posts by using "co-occurring words," words that are often searched for in conjunction with your keywords.

5. Add a table of contents to convey the list of contents

Use a table of contents to convey a list of contents

By including a table of contents in your post, you can make it more convenient for users and reduce the rate of abandonment.

In addition, the contents of the table of contents will appear in Google's search results, which may increase traffic.

When you create a table of contents, make sure that the post's contents can be understood by looking at the table of contents.

6. Use meta description tag properly

The meta description tag is displayed on the search results page under the title (yellow frame).

Appropriate use of meta description tags clear and concise summary of the content of your page will increase click-through rates.

The meta description tag should include search terms to help searchers understand the content of your post at a glance.

7. Use header tags properly

Each heading should use h2 and h3 tags to clarify the text structure.

There are up to h6 heading tags, and when used properly, they make your blog more accessible for users to read.

"If the heading tags are not correct, the crawlers will not read the information correctly."

You can read more about headline structure in the following post.

8. Use file name for the image

If you use images, make sure you give them proper file names.

For example, if you want to add a picture of a dog, I recommend the following settings

  • beagle-dog.jpeg 〇
  • egimage.jpeg ×

As well as searching for posts, users may also use image search to find the information they want.

Appropriate file names will improve your image search rankings.

9. Use alt tags for images

The alt tag is the descriptive part of the image.

Search engines can't recognize the image itself, so they use the text in the alt tag to determine the content of the picture.

For example, if you have an image like the one below, you would enter the following text in the alt tag: "There are two ways to earn money on your blog: pay per click and performance-based advertising.

There are two ways to make money from your blog: 'Pay per click' and 'Pay for performance.'

Be aware of the keywords and set them appropriately to convey information correctly to search engines.

10. Post links to related pages

It is also good to include links to other highly relevant posts in your posts.

Links to related pages will encourage crawlers to visit them.

It's also more convenient for the user!

It is also said to be adequate to collect links from other posts, especially if the page is essential or you want it to appear at the top of the search results.

11. Use anchor text properly

If you use anchor text like "here" for internal links, crawlers will not determine what kind of site it is.

It also makes it difficult for the user to know "which one? The text of your internal links should be text that describes the page's content.

Good

Bad

  • I recommend you to use Blogger!
  • You can access the official site from here.

12. Check if there is a broken link

If there is a broken link URL in your blog, crawlers may judge that this site is a blog that is not maintained.

It also makes your site less useful for users, so make sure you check your blog regularly for broken links!

"Several tools are available to check for broken links, so be proactive and use them."

13. Make your content multimedia.

The use of images and videos, and text in your content will increase the time spent on your site and reduce the bounce rate.

Although Google does not officially state that dwells time and bounces rate affect search rankings, the higher the search rankings, the lower the bounce rate!

I've also found that including images can increase your PV numbers and make it easier for people to share your site on social networking sites.

It's a good idea to include images and video content, as it can positively impact!

14. Focus on the quality of your posts (top priority)

I have introduced several internal SEO strategies, but let us conclude that the most important thing is to focus on the quality of your posts.

Internal SEO is a measure to get Google to evaluate your blog's content properly.

Even if your keyword selection and links are perfect, if your text is jumbled and confusing, it will not be adequately evaluated if your content is thin.

No matter how much effort you put in, if you can't provide your readers with the information they need, you can't expect to be effective, so research your users' needs carefully and write your posts accordingly.

"Don't spend too much time on other SEO strategies, or you'll lower the quality of your posts by pushing too hard.

The correct answer is, "don't do anything that you know will lower the quality of your posts."
